# dex Terms of Service Version: 2026-10-28 Prices changed in place on 2026-10-28 for new purchases, with nothing new to agree to; anyone already paying keeps their price. dex.place and YUKI are made by Dex, one person, with help from a community. These terms cover the online parts: the **dex account**, the **dex membership** (through Ko-fi), **dex inference** (the shared pool of machines that run models for members) and the YUKI web app at dex.place/yuki. They don't cover YUKI running on your own device: that's software you run yourself, and nothing here limits what you do with it there. By creating a dex account you agree to these terms and to the [Privacy Policy](/api/legal/privacy). When you link Ko-fi (and before you use dex inference) you also agree to the [Acceptable Use Policy](/api/legal/acceptable-use). ## Your dex account - It's optional. YUKI works without one. - You sign in with Discord, GitHub or Google. There are no dex passwords. - You need to be at least 13 (or the minimum age for online accounts where you live, if that's higher), and at least 18 to use dex inference. - One person per account. Keep your sign-ins safe: what happens through your account is on you. - You can delete your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy for what that removes. ## The dex membership - Paid plans are YUKI Lite ($6.99 a month), YUKI Plus ($14.99) and YUKI Pro ($29.99), or yearly at about ten times the monthly price. They're sold through Ko-fi, and by card through Lemon Squeezy once that opens. Ko-fi, Lemon Squeezy and their payment providers handle the payment; their terms apply to it, and dex.place never sees your card or PayPal details. When you buy through Lemon Squeezy, Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record. - Link the email you use on Ko-fi to your dex account to switch the membership on. The email has to be one that Discord, GitHub or Google verified for you; otherwise Dex can link it by hand after checking. - Each payment covers its period. If a renewal doesn't arrive, the plan stays on for one more grace day and then switches off by itself. Cancel any time, on Ko-fi or from your Lemon Squeezy receipt; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. - Refunds: if something didn't work, email saniczlord@gmail.com within 14 days of a payment and it gets refunded. The YUKI desktop app has a 14-day refund if it can't run a brain on your PC. ## dex inference - It runs models (chat and image generation; no video) on machines lent by Dex and other community hosts. It runs model inference only: no tools, no browsing, nothing on your behalf. - It's community hosting, offered as is. Hosts go offline, queues get long, models change. There's a fair queue and per-person limits (including a daily image quota) so everyone gets a turn. - Your prompts and results stream straight to you. dex.place doesn't store them. The host's machine sees your request while it runs it; hosts agree not to keep or look at it (see the Privacy Policy). - The [Acceptable Use Policy](/api/legal/acceptable-use) applies. Repeated policy hits pause dex inference on your account automatically. - Models make mistakes and can produce things that are wrong or odd. What you make, and what you do with it, is yours and your responsibility. ## Hosting If you switch "host" on for one of your machines, Dex approves it first. A host runs model inference only, keeps nothing from other people's requests, and runs the checks unchanged. dex.place keeps a ledger of what each host contributed (requests, tokens, GPU time). Dex can switch a host off at any time. ## Suspension and bans Dex can pause dex inference on an account or ban an account for breaking these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect the service and the people on it. A ban signs the account out everywhere and switches off its hosts. If you think a decision was wrong, contact Dex. ## No warranty The online parts are provided as they are, without any warranty. As far as the law allows, Dex isn't liable for losses from using them or from not being able to, beyond what you paid for the membership in the last month. ## Changes When these terms change, the version at the top changes. If a change matters for you, you'll be asked to accept the new version before using dex inference again. ## Contact Dex, through dex.place, or by email: saniczlord@gmail.com.
